Structural heart disease symposium a success
About 70 people attended the symposium on structural heart disease treatment on June 8 at Macomb Community College. Presenters included Drs. James Lee, Sam Kazziha, William O’Neill and Steven Harrington, pictured at left. The Henry Ford Center for Structural Heart Disease is expanding to Henry Ford Macomb Hospital to offer advance treatments that help people with no other options for complex structural heart disease conditions. The new program builds on the existing Valve Clinic, which evaluates patients for surgical or nonsurgical repair. Over the next year, we will add several structural heart procedures, including TAVR, PFO closure, WATCHMAN device implants and laser lead extraction.
