William J. Nazzaro, D.O, F.A.C.C.
Dr. William Nazzaro is a Board Certified Cardiologist. He graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. He received his D.O. from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine – Bradenton Campus. He has been in Michigan since 2008, moving here for medical training and completing both his residency and fellowship through the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine affiliated program at Garden City Hospital. Dr. Nazzaro is also certified in Nuclear Cardiology.
His love of cardiology began as a Critical Care EMT in his home town and guided his decision to attend medical school. Dr. Nazzaro believes his role as a physician is to educate those in his care without the medical jargon to aid them in making the best decisions possible. He has been recognized by the American College of Osteopathic Internists with the “Humanism and Excellence in Teaching” award in 2011. He also enjoys teaching medical students, residents and fellows and has been actively involved with medical education. He is adjunct faculty with Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
His interests inside the broad topic of cardiology include, coronary artery disease, arrhythmia and heart failure. His interests outside of medicine change frequently and are too numerous to list!
